DIY Photography Accessories
All you photography enthusiasts out
there, we all know how expensive camera accessories can be. But did you know
that you can actually create your own accessories and get rid of high
expenditures? Here are some tips and list of alternatives for your very own
camera:
a) Macro lens to reversing ring – we all know how expensive lenses are,
even those very short ones so it is good to know that the ones you already have
can be used to create another one. Among these useful accessories is your macro
lens which you can use as an alternative reversing ring.
b) Tripod to string with washer on one end and the tripod screw on the
other – ah, how difficult it is to travel with a heavy tripod on your back.
This is why you usually opt to leave this stabilizing accessory behind and rely
on your steady hands instead. But there are just some shots that need this
important accessory so what can you do? Unscrew the tripod screw and find a
string long enough to hold a washer on one end and that screw on the other. On
location shoots, you can find a good branch of tree or something high enough
for your needed shot and tie around the string on it. The tripod screw goes
into the washer to keep the camera steady.
c) Reflectors to white and black cardboards
d) Diffusion box to translucent fabric
e) Rain gear to garbage bags – moisture can definitely turn an
expensive camera into a useless block of something, making rain gears very
important to us photo enthusiasts. But we don’t actually need to buy the most
expensive rain gears. In fact, we can make use of the garbage bags we have at
home. Just make use of your little imagination and creativity to make one.
f) Lens cap attachment with Velcro
There you have it, you now have a few
more accessories for your nice camera.
